The International Research Conference “Foresight and STI Policy” will take place on October 30—31, 2013 at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics. The Conference is organised by the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.

The following issues are put forward for the discussion:

• Cooperation and challenges — the role of Foresight in STI and STI Policy;
• Foresight cooperation and the use of Foresight results;
• Leveraging networks;
• Foresight for companies, sectors and technologies;
• Evolution of S&T Foresight

There are planned presentations by experts from the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, University of Manchester (UK); University of Ottawa (Canada); Hawaii Research Centre for Futures Studies (USA); Institute for Technological Innovation, University of Pretoria (South Africa); Centre for Social Innovation (Austria); Singularity University (USA); Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP); National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP); OECD; UNESCO; UNIDO; Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, and other organisations.

The conference will start at 9:30 am. 

Working languages: English and Russian (simultaneous translation to be provided).

Conference venue: National Research University — Higher School of Economics, rooms 5306 and 5307, Shabolovka Street, 26, Moscow, Russia.
