Figure of the day: 74%

of Russians believe that most scientists want to work on problems that make life better for the average person. These data were obtained in a survey of Russians over the age of 16 that was commissioned in November 2014 by HSE ISSEK as part of the Monitoring Survey of Innovative Behaviour of the Population.

52% of people in our country believe that the work of scientists carries high risk, and 28% of people view scientists as those who keep to themselves, solving all problems on their own.
