Figure of the day: 630

people attended the lecture marathon ‘Ideas 2020: Journey into the World of the Future’ that was organised by Higher School of Economics in collaboration with the Polytechnic Museum and the Helmholtz Association (Germany). Leading research fellows from ISSEK — Ruslan Saygitov and Ozcan Saritas — were among the lecturers.

Throughout the last Sunday at DI Telegraph, leading academics — professors and experts from Higher School of Economics — presented the results of their research on the future of humanity to a wider audience. Six lectures were given in such areas as ‘The City and Transport’, ‘Energy’, ‘Medicine’, and ‘Technology’.

Ruslan Saygitov, Doctor of Medical Science and Chief Research Fellow at the ISSEK Research Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies, spoke on ‘Advanced Biomedical Technology: The Medicine of the Future, of the Future of Medicine’.

Ozcan Saritas, Leading Research Fellow at the ISSEK Research Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies and Editor-in-Chief of the international Foresight magazine, gave his lecture ‘The evolution of Humanity: Past, Present & Alternative futures’ in English.
