The special workshop “Long-term Science, Technology and Innovation Foresight: Challenges to S&T Policy” will take place on April 2—3, 2014 within theframework of the XV April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. The workshop is organised by the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.

The following issues are put forward for the discussion:

• National S&T Foresight system: organisation and preliminary results
• Long-term S&T priorities at sectoral level
• Instruments of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy: supporting technological development
• Instruments of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy: regional aspects

There are planned presentations by experts from the University of Manchester (UK); University of Ottawa (Canada); GeorgiaTech (USA); Hungarian Academy of Sciences; University College London (UK); Foundation for Research and Technology — Hellas (Greece); Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; Russian Academy of Sciences; HSE and other organisations.

All interested are welcome to attend!

Working languages: English and Russian (simultaneous translation to be provided).
