The Master-Class of Professor Knut Blind ‘Technological Sovereignty in the Age of Openness’

Оn November 19, 2021, Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Higher School of Economics is organising a master-class on technological sovereignty in the era of openness with leading German researcher of innovation and technology Knut Blind as part of the programme of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Human Potential.

About the speaker: Prof. Dr. Knut Blind, Professor for Innovation Economics at the Technical University Berlin, Coordinator of the Business Unit Innovation and Regulation, Fraunhofer Institute for Systems Research and Innovation (Germany)

THE QUESTIONS THAT WILL BE COVERED IN THE MASTER CLASS:

  • What are the factors that determine the development and diffusion of advanced technologies in today’s economy?
  • What is technological sovereignty?
  • Is technological sovereignty achievable and what are the possible strategies to achieve it?

Participants will be able to discuss the problems of development, dissemination, and borrowing of advanced technologies in the context of the technological development of the country.
