On 17 November 2023, the Higher School of Economics is hosting the III International Academic Conference “Creative Economy: Main Development Trends and State Policy”. It is organised by the Institute for Statistical Research and Knowledge Economy (ISSEK HSE University) — Russia’s leading centre of competence in research and economic analysis of creative industries.

Traditionally, the conference will start with the International Forum of Young Researchers of the Creative Economy, where the authors of papers that have passed the competitive selection will present their research results. Young researchers (under 35), and graduate and post-graduate students studying the socio-economic aspects of the development of the creative economy or particular creative industries are invited to apply until 1 November 2023. The best works selected by the forum committee will be awarded with certificates of honour.

The main part of this year’s conference will focus on factors affecting the global and national distribution of talent. The first Russian regional creative industries ranking will be presented at one of the sessions. Prominent Russian and international researchers and experts will discuss the methodology and results. The conference participants will also discuss education and skills for the creative economy, as well as the key factors of competitiveness and secrets of the success of cities in the competition for creative talents, etc.
