Leonid Gokhberg became a member of the RF Government Expert Council

New membership of the RF Government Expert Council was approved. This consultative body was established in 2012 for expert evaluation of the Russian government’s, ministries’ and agencies’ decisions of economic and social import. The council also acts as a link between civil society institutions and executive authorities. It comprises 366 people, 20 of whom are the HSE staff members.

More than a half of key issues the government decides on are discussed by the council’s working groups. E.g. the experts helped to adjust the National Action Strategy for Children, various draft laws and national programmes in such areas as health, education, science, ecology, municipal services; national programmes and development strategies for the transport sector; socially oriented non-profit organisations and social entrepreneurship.

The Expert Council comprises representatives of public and research organisations. Government and municipal officials cannot be members.
