HSE ISSEK Turns 15
On April 26 the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge marks the 15th anniversary of its founding.
On April 26, 2002, the HSE Academic Council decided to establish the Institute of Information Economy “to carry out scientific research on the problems of socio-economic development in the field of information and telecommunication technologies, science and innovations, education and training, and other research intended to increase the participation of HSE in scientific services and consulting”. The current name appeared later (June 27, 2003) — after the decision of the HSE Academic Council it was renamed as the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.
Inspired by HSE anti-anniversary, we don’t celebrate it as milestone birthday, but we perceive it as an occasion to analyse the results of many years developing and to chalk out a future course of action.
