Indicators of Innovation in the Russian Federation : 2018

This data book presents the results of statistical surveys characterising innovation processes in the economy of the country. It shows the dynamics of consolidated indicators, produced in accordance with modern international standards of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Eurostat, showing the level of development of technological and non-technological innovation.

The book contains statistical data reflecting the innovative activity of enterprises in the sphere of manufacturing, services, as well as the results of experimental surveys of construction and for the first time — agriculture. The book focuses on resources provision, the effects and efficiency of innovative activity, co-operation ties, and economic, industrial and other factors hampering innovation. One chapter is specifically dedicated to ecological innovation. Separate chapters of the book are devoted to the characteristics of innovative activity in the regions of the Russian Federation and to international comparisons covering a wide range of indicators. The data book includes information of the Federal State Statistics Service, the OECD, the European Commission, Eurostat, National Statistical Agencies of foreign countries, as well as in-house methodological and analytical studies conducted at Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at National Research University Higher School of Economics.
