The article by O. Shuvalova, Head of Department for Sociological Studies, HSE ISSEK, is published in the journal «Sociology of science and technology» (2012. Vol. 3, No 3). The paper describes a social portrait of the reference group: how many people in Russia who are interested in science and technology, who they are, what they know about the field, what is their view on the problems of domestic science.
