Tax Incentives for Science and Innovation in Russia: Practice and Studies

The publication presents results of a study of tax incentives provided in Russia to promote research and innovation activities.

Particular attention is paid to surveying R&D organisations, universities, and manufacturing companies, to assess their demand for tax incentives for research and innovation. The results of the study show the effectiveness of certain incentives, and may be used as an argument for their improvement.  

   
 

Innovation Behaviour of Russian Enterprises

The study is based on a survey of more than 2,000 manufacturing and service companies. It was conducted within the framework of the European Manufacturing Survey, an international project involving 13 countries. Key issues covered: enterprises’ innovation strategies; technological, organisational, and marketing innovations; factors contributing to or hampering innovation; sources, mechanisms, and best practices of knowledge creation; innovation and human capital management, etc.  

   
  

Russian Scientists: A Sociological Portrait Sketch

The monograph presents an analysis of motivation, values, and career goals of Russian scientists as key characteristics of their socio-psychological behavioural model. The publication is based on the results of a representative survey of researchers’ work conditions and the appeal of a career in science, conducted by HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.
