About ISSEK in the 5th issue of HSE University Review

A number of projects and events of the ISSEK are mentioned in the latest quarterly issue of the English-language newsletter, which is an overview of the important current events and achievements of the HSE according to the HSE Office of Public Relations and Online Media.

On page 5 — a summary of the activities of the BRICS Water Forum, organized by HSE’s Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, and held at the Higher School of Economics in September 2016.

On pages 16–17 — a review of research on the phenomenon of user innovations "Russian users-innovators: what and why", prepared by the editorial board of the web portal IQ.hse.ru based on the article by Konstantin Fursov and Thomas Turner, in which they reflected the results of a study conducted in the framework of Innovative Behavior of the population as part of the HSE ISSEK Monitoring

On page 27 — in the “Expert activity” block of university, a large-scale project termed “Russia 2030: Science and Technology Foresight” which was implemented by the experts of the HSE ISSEK with the participation of more than two thousand Russian and foreign experts is mentioned. In 2014, the Forecast was approved by the government as the core document for further expansion of strategic development plans in the field of science and technology.

There is also a list of international projects and collaborations in the scientific and technical sphere that HSE implements jointly with organizations of the OECD, Eurostat, UNIDO, BRICS, etc., including the participation and coordination of two divisions of the ISSEK — the Center for International Projects and the Information and Centre for cooperation with the OECD.
