The present data book is another one in the series of publications, dedicated to different aspects of scientific development in the Russian Federation. It begins with tables, where together with the main science and technology indicators there are data concerning the main innovative activities.

The pocket data book contains main indicators characterizing trends in the development of general, as well as lower and secondary vocational and higher education in the Russian Federation. It also covers key education indicators for OECD countries.

The pocket data book contains main indicators characterizing S&T, innovation and Information Society in the Russian Federation.

This report presents materials for the Foresight that were prepared by the National Research University Higher School of Economics at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. More than 2000 Russian and foreign experts, including representatives of leading research centres, universities, companies, technological platforms, and innovative regional clusters took part in this study.

The latest issue of Foresight and STI Governance (2015, Vol. 9, No. 4) covers long-term socioeconomic challenges for Russia and directions for the Russia’s science and technology cooperation; technological innovations in automotive industry and telemedicine; scenario planning method and the epistemological foundations of music piracy in the digital marketplace.

The latest issue of Foresight and STI Governance (2015, Vol. 9, No. 3) covers the effect of the external environment on entrepreneurial orientation, trends in mobile banking, nanotechnology patent analysis in Russia and the consequences of underestimating emerging technologies based on the South African experience.

On 20 May, 2015 the third issue of the Russian Regional Innovation Development Rating published by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge was presented at the Higher School of Economics (HSE). Researchers rated 83 regions by the integral indicator — Russian Regional Innovation Index (RRII).

This data book continues the series of annual publications by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE ISSEK). It presents statistical data on ICT infrastructure, activities of ICT sector enterprises, and content and media sector. It also presents summary indicators of business activity of enterprises rendering IT services, and ICT usage by enterprises, households, and individuals.
