Experts discussed how to ''feed'' AI, what the domestic IT market awaits, and how cities are changing in the era of digitalization at the Session "The Future of IT: Scenarios and Sectoral Applications" took place under the XXV Yasin (April) International Academic Conference.

Forecasting the economy’s demand for spatial data, remote sensing data, and geoinformation technologies is one of the key objectives of the study being conducted by HSE experts jointly with the Aerospace Research Institute, commissioned by Rosreestr. A public discussion of the interim results was held on 7 November at the conference ‘Spatial Data for the Digital Economy and Sustainable Development of the Russian Federation’.

This May, HSE and the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI, Republic of Korea) signed a cooperation agreement on science and advanced technology research. This agreement was signed by Leonid Gokhberg, HSE First Vice Rector, Director of the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, and Dr. Hwang-Hee Cho, STEPI President.

Alexander Chulok, Director of the HSE ISSEK Centre for S&T Foresight, wrote a column for the Association of European Businesses Quarterly Magazine.

The Moscow City Department of Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Higher School of Economics held a joint field foresight session in the scope of setting up the Moscow Innovation and Production Cluster. More than 200 experts — representatives of the research and education community, innovative businesses, and public authorities discussed priority areas for development of the capital city’s S&T sector, global trends affecting the city’s economy, and incentives and cooperation mechanisms which would help to make a technological leap.

Higher School of Economics reached an agreement with the holding company "Russian Helicopters" (part of the state corporation Rostek) on scientific and technological cooperation in the framework of International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS. HSE First Vice Rector Leonid Gokhberg and General Director of "Russian Helicopters" Andrei Boginsky signed the agreement.
