Almost half Russia’s regions are relatively stable in terms of innovative development: their positions in the ranking have not changed significantly. The Future Preparedness Index (FPI) is a new parameter first featured in the report. | ||
Russian Regional Innovation Ranking. Issue 4 Year: 2016 The fourth issue of the analytical report comprises data for 2013 and 2014. The originally designed system of indicators is based on results of many years of ISSEK’s research, official statistics, bibliometric and patent data, Federal Treasury reports, and open-access data published at government agencies’ web portals. All Russian regions except Crimea and Sevastopol are covered (for the last two, 2014 data was incomplete). | ||

Russian Regional Innovation Ranking. Issue 2 This analytical report prepared by the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge presents an analysis of innovation development in 83 Russian regions, based on a set of ratings calculated for 2012. The ranking is based on a system of indicators describing socio-economic development, innovation activities, S&T potential, and quality of regional innovation policies. The indicators are in line with Russian and international statistical standards; the applied methodological approaches match the practices of building regional innovation indexes under the aegis of the European Commission and other international organisations. The publication includes a description of the methodology and normalised data used for calculation of the ratings. | ||
Russian Regional Innovation Ranking. Issue 1 Year: 2012 The report presents a system of ratings and an analysis of innovation development in 83 Russian regions for 2008 and 2010. The ranking is based on a system of indicators measuring socio-economic development in the regions, their S&T potential, the level of innovation activities and quality of regional innovation policies. The indicators are in line with Russian and international statistical standards; the applied methodological approaches match the practices of building regional innovation indexes under the aegis of the European Commission and other international organisations. The publication includes a description of the methodology and normalised data used for calculation of the ratings. | ||
