On 20 May, 2015 the third issue of the Russian Regional Innovation Development Rating published by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge was presented at the Higher School of Economics (HSE). Researchers rated 83 regions by the integral indicator — Russian Regional Innovation Index (RRII).

The Higher School of Economics launches Cluster Map of Russia project
The NRU HSE, supported by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises, and the Russian Venture Company hosted a three-day workshop for heads of cluster development centres and cluster management agencies. Members of the cluster community, representatives of federal and regional executive authorities and development institutes discussed efficient tools and best cluster management practices, as well as the Cluster Map of Russia project launched by HSE Russian Cluster Laboratory.
MA Programme 'Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation' Concludes Partnership Agreements with 5 Recognized Universities
HSE has finalised agreements with its international partner universities for new double diplomas and student exchanges in the framework of the Master’s programme in Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation. Dirk Meissner, Deputy Head of the Research Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies, Professor at the Department of Educational Programmes at HSE ISSEK and Academic Supervisor for the Master’s programme, spoke to the HSE English News service about how the new agreements are made to give master’s students the best opportunities for study abroad and double degree programmes while making sure they match HSE’s approaches and standards.
Institutionalising foresight studies in Russia
In the latest OECD Science, Technology and Industry Outlook, the Higher School of Economics’ annual international academic conference ‘Foresight and STI Policy’ was listed among the most prominent international events promoting foresight methodology and best practices. Technological foresight, as was repeatedly noted by the conference participants — Russian and international theorists and practitioners of foresight — is gradually institutionalising, developing specific rules and traditions.
Conference at HSE to Focus on Plans for Developing Science and Technology over Next Decade
On November 6—7, 2014, Higher School of Economics will held the IV International Academic Conference ‘Foresight and STI Policy’. The conference is being organised by HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge with International Research and Educational Foresight Centre, included in its structure since 2006. The centre is the only one in the CIS that has the status of a UNIDO Regional Centre for Technology Foresight.
