ISSEK Students in the Search of the Responds to the Administration Requests
Master’s Programme Students of HSE ISSEK “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation” for 10 weeks from January to March were doing their internships at Moscow Agency of Innovations. During the internship four students found several best technological solutions for optimizing the city transport, power grids, healthcare and other systems.
Russian Research in Global Balance of Scientific Influence
Data on researchers’ affiliations in publications indexed in international citation databases (Web of Science or Scopus) reflects their collaborations with research organisations and individuals in other countries. According to findings by the HSE ISSEK, the rate of Russian researchers' involvement in international cooperation has been growing from year to year.
Can the Future Economy Develop Without Increasing in Energy Consumption?
On April 3, 2017, the traditional HSE and International Energy Prize “Global Energy” joint foresight session was held at the Higher School of Economics, marking the announcement of the Prize. Researchers Offer Novel Method for Calculating the Benefits of Renewable Energy
Researchers from the Higher School of Economics (HSE) have developed a novel system for assessing the potential of renewable energy resources. This method can help to assess the future exploitable technical potential of wind and solar PV energy, as well as their capacity to replace exiting generation assets. Furthermore, it can forecast fossil fuel savings and facilitate reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Their research has been published in journal Energy: “Wind and Solar PV Technical Potentials: Measurement Methodology and Assessments for Russia”.
